Description
The Pan Hu teapot originated during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. It evolved from the exclusive purple clay teapots custom-made in Yixing by Pan Shicheng, a native of Panyu, Guangdong. Purple clay teapots of this shape have been known worldwide as Pan Hu teapots ever since. The Pan Shicheng family was highly influential and renowned in society at that time.
